Parish Council meeting was held on
Thursday 12th February 2026 at 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall

3. NON-ATTENDANCE

4. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS
The minutes of the meeting held on 11th December 2025 had already been circulated prior to the meeting.

Proposal: Agreement to the content of the minutes was proposed by Mr. M. Lake and seconded by Mr. G. Kingdom and the meeting unanimously agreed.

The minutes of the meeting held in November which had already been agreed at our December meeting were signed by the chairman.

7. HIRE OF PARISH HALL FOR MEETINGS

The clerk stated that the parish council had used the parish hall for 8 meetings during the year 2025 with a total cost of £59.00.

Proposal: The payment of the cost was proposed by Mrs J. Mitchell and seconded by Ms Wibberley and unanimously agreed by the meeting to pay £59.00 to the parish hall.

8. ROAD FLOODING BETWEEN LYTHELAND FARM AND ROBINS POST

A lengthy discussion took place by the parish councillors and the 2 attending parishioners. It was reported that the road between Robins Post and Lytheland and Lytheland Farm has become completely flooded, restricting traffic which seems to have been caused by someone blocking the drains. This restriction also applied to the school bus recently.

The road has already been reported.

Cllr Keable asked if the flooding problem be reported again on the interactive road map online.

9. GRIT

Cllr Hall reported to the clerk that it has become necessary to purchase more grit for the bin near him and ask the clerk to arrange it.

The Clerk ordered the grit from Travis Perkins at a cost of £273.25, this was proposed by Mr Kingdom and seconded by Mr. P. Lake and unanimously agreed by the meeting.

10. Damage to phone box with defibrillator

During the recent bad weather with severe winds and rain causing damage to the phone box housing the defibrillator outside The Cruwys Arms. The door had been damaged, and 2 panes of broken glass.

Cllr Marc Lake and Cllr Jeremy Grant have spent several hours repairing the glass and door of the phone box. Cllr Lake managed to fix a chain to the door to stop it swinging open in the wind.

Proposal: Mrs Mitchell proposed and Mr Berry seconded payment for the glass of £19.60 and meeting unanimously agreed.

11. HIGHWAYS

The following flooding problems were reported:

• Pothole outside Two Hoots Pennymoor
• Potholes between Greenland head and Puddington

12. CLLR STEVE KEABLE REPORT

The report for January and February 2026 had been received and would be added to the minutes.

13. CLLR POLLY COLTHORPE REPORT

Cllr Colthorpe gave the following report:

• Budget balanced
• Pool Pods x 2 designed to help disabled people enter pool
• Padel courts – Padel is a combination of tennis and squash
