Parish Council meeting was held on Thursday 14th May 2026 at 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall

1. MEMBERS PRESENT
Mr. G. Hall, Mr D. Berry, Mr J. Grant, Mrs. J Mitchell, Mr. M. Lake, Mr. P. Lake,

2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Ms Rosie Wibberley (sick relative) Cllr P Colthorpe (attending another meeting)

3. NON-ATTENDANCE

Mr. G. Kingdom

4. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN AND VICE-CHAIRMAN

CHAIRMAN

Proposal: Mrs Mitchell proposed and Mr Grant seconded Mr G. Hall as Chairman of the Parish Council. The meeting unanimously agreed.

VICE-CHAIRMAN

Proposal: Mrs Mitchell proposed, and Mr Lake seconded Mr D Berry as Vice-Chairman of the Parish Council. The meeting unanimously agreed.

5. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS
The minutes of the meeting held on 9th April 2026 had already been circulated prior to the meeting.

Proposal: Agreement to the content of the minutes was proposed by Mr. J. Grant and seconded by Mr. D. Berry and the meeting unanimously agreed.

6. DECLARATION OF INTEREST

None

7. MATTERS ARISING

None

8. ANNUAL INSURANCE RENEWAL

The clerk gave details of the annual insurance renewal which was £187.52 (fixed sum for 3 years)

Proposal: Mr. M. Lake proposed and Mrs Mitchell seconded agreement to pay £187.52 and the meeting unanimously agreed.

9. MINUTE BOOK

The clerk reported that it is necessary to purchase another minute book.

Proposal: Mr P. Lake proposed and Mr Grant seconded agreement to purchasing another minute book at a cost of £207.60 and the meeting unanimously agreed.

10. HIGHWAYS

The following highway problems were reported:

• Potholes along Cotton Lane, Way Village
• Potholes between Greenland Head to Puddington
• Potholes Wayside, Way Village
